LMC Spotlight: Kelli DeSimone, Leasing Professional

After a fulfilling 10-year real estate career in her hometown of Woburn, Mass., Kelli DeSimone headed west. In an effort to be closer to family, she and her two daughters relocated to San Diego in 2017. The Boston area’s loss turned out to be LMC’s gain, as Kelli and decided to venture into property management after moving to SoCal.

Her prior experience as a realtor, in which she handled her own marketing efforts, toured and sold many homes in surrounding communities and formed lasting relationships, often led to referrals to new clients. These experiences prepared her well for property management. She joined LMC in June 2018 and has felt at home ever since.

What is your official title and job description?

I live and work at Marisol, a beautiful new community in Carlsbad, California where my primary role is as a leasing professional. Our team is also responsible for community outreach and arranges resident events. During the holiday season we hosted a very successful gingerbread house-making party. The participants had a great time and met their neighbors too!

What is your favorite part of the job you do?

My favorite part of my job is the interaction with our residents and future residents. Everyone has their own unique story, and I find it fascinating to learn about them. The LMC culture has a special way of connecting not only with our onsite team, but our residents, as well. It’s truly a wonderful thing to be a part of. I love living here, and I try to convey that to anyone who expresses an interest in joining our community!

What is the coolest place you’ve traveled to?

By far the coolest place I’ve ever traveled is St. Barth’s in the French West Indies. I stayed at a villa on a hillside above St. Jean beach and was blown away by the views of crystal-clear water and pristine beaches. It was a glimpse into the lifestyles of the rich and famous!

What’s your favorite LMC Core Value?

Make it Yours. I love the idea of helping a potential resident envision that Marisol could be their home rather than just a temporary place to live. It’s so important to show that there’s a sense of community here and that the amazing amenities we offer will only enhance their experience.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

If I could possess any superpower, it would be the ability to read minds. It would be great to know what our potential residents are thinking!

LMC is a very special place to work, largely because of the special people who work here. Our company culture is infused with spirit, enthusiasm, passion, and vitality. Thank you for being an amazing example of that, Kelli!

Above all else, we are committed to quality, communication, and integrity. This applies to the communities we build and lease, and to the relationships we have with our residents and each other.
