For Brady Ellis, it was no secret that his career niche would consist of devising creative ways to help people find homes. It just him took awhile to figure out what type of housing best aligned with his attributes.
The Coastal Carolina graduate began in the student-housing sector in 2011. He was responsible for leasing up four different student communities, but then made the transition to multifamily in 2015 in Atlanta.
Ellis, who grew up in Gaffney, S.C., joined the LMC team in April 2018 and seems to have found his new home. He claims that he’s never experienced as much positivity and support from a company.
What is your official title and job description?
Marketing Specialist, East. I assist all East Coast communities with their marketing efforts and needs and help guide them into stabilization with planned marketing and outreach strategies. Keeping it fresh!
What is your favorite part of the job you do?
Having the freedom to take risks and implement new strategies in a particular market. Mistakes don’t exist in my book if you learn and grow from them, and I have learned and grown so much from my coworkers in such a short time with LMC.
What is your biggest marketing “save” on a community?
My goal every day is to assist my communities with any marketing needs they might have in a proactive manner to ensure we never get in a spot where it needs to be saved. If anything, my communities that I assist save me every day!
What's your favorite LMC Core Value?
Look Good, Talk Differently. I find that you should always dress for the job you want, not the one you have. Looking your best translates into feeling your best. When you feel good you achieve good things. And we all know how I talk, y’all! Although, I have to confess that I literally did break my ankle during a softball tournament with LMC. I don’t want to talk about it.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I have always wanted to be able to teleport to any location in the world at the blink of an eye, but then I realized that flying would be much better. I can still get to the destination of my choice but I get to witness all the beauty along the way. That way I can save money on travel and visit more of my awesome teams!
LMC is a very special place to work, largely because of the special people who work here. Our company culture is infused with spirit, enthusiasm, passion, and vitality. Thank you for being an amazing example of that, Brady!
Above all else, we are committed to quality, communication, and integrity. This applies to the communities we build and lease, and to the relationships we have with our residents and each other. Are you looking for amazing opportunities for career growth at one of America’s leading apartment developers? We are always growing and looking to add amazing people to our LMC teams!
