Associate Spotlight: Cameron Fletcher, Assistant Manager

When you grow up around commercial real estate, you can go one of two ways. You can stray from it or become enraptured with it. Cameron Fletcher certainly fits into the latter category.

“I knew that one day it would be my calling,” said Fletcher, a San Diego-based leasing professional for LMC. “When I watched the construction of a high-rise apartment building from my office window across the way, I knew that I needed to be a part of it.”

The University of Redlands graduate reached out to Bryan Feltman, the community manager of that development, which was LMC’s Shift in San Diego’s East Village. Soon enough, Fletcher was on board helping lease-up the new community with the ultra-creative design.*

Fletcher has thrived under Feltman’s mentorship and has played a key role in Shift’s steady lease-up pace. He takes great pride in the community’s numerous architectural accolades, as well. As Fletcher continues to accumulate more industry knowledge on a daily basis, he took a brief respite to answer these questions about his first eight months with LMC.

What is your official title and job description?

I started my LMC journey back in September of 2018. I am currently a leasing professional who works in many capacities. That includes outreach marketing, finding the perfect home for new residents and market surveys weekly to ensure our current lease-up of Shift apartments in sunny San Diego is outperforming the competition.

What is your favorite part of the job you do?

I really enjoy helping people find the options that work best for them. Also, I am fascinated with every aspect of commercial real estate, from the residents to the construction and design aspect of it. I am fortunate enough to experience this every day.

What’s your biggest ‘surprised-to-find-out’ moment about working in property management?

I now truly understand the massive effort it takes from everyone behind the scenes to keep everything in beautiful order – from the office team to the service team and everyone else involved in the massive undertaking of daily operations.

What's your favorite LMC Core Value?

Make it yours! It really helps create the best environment for new ideas.

If you could have a super power what would it be and why?

The ability to fly! I love traveling. I would use it every day to travel to places, from avoiding traffic in southern California to traveling to the mountains to ski for the day and make it home in time for dinner would be just the best.

Do you have a pet? If not, what would your dream pet be?

I do not currently have a pet. I would love to have a jaguar because they are mysterious and ferocious. I Just do not think my HOA would currently approve this request.
